I envisioned a world dominated by intelligent insects, where a human traveler becomes an insignificant element, striving to understand and navigate a fascinating yet terrifying environment. On Earth, humans often ignore insects and do not engage with them—in my imagined world, this dynamic is inverted, with the protagonist resembling a tiny, lost beetle. I aimed to depict a thrilling and gloomy atmosphere, with intriguing structures built by the swarms of insects. Hives, factories, nurseries - their purpose is yet to be discovered.
The lighting is designed to suggest multiple points of interest, compelling the protagonist to choose his path and determine how to write his story and find his purpose in this alien environment.
In creating this concept, I focused on evoking feelings of loneliness and being lost, traversing the world with no purpose other than exploration itself. The unknown induces anxiety but also motivates to find the way.
